The Assay Genie PMPCB ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of the mitochondrial processing peptidase beta subunit, supporting research into mitochondrial biogenesis, oxidative phosphorylation disorders, and neurodegeneration. PMPCB forms the catalytic core of MPP, the metalloprotease that cleaves N-terminal mitochondrial targeting peptides from nuclear-encoded precursor proteins destined for the mitochondrial matrix.
