Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.21ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 4.3% and inter-assay CV is 8.0%. Linearity has been validated across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16, with average recovery of 95% for serum and 97% for plasma.

GP6 functions as a collagen receptor involved in collagen-induced platelet adhesion and activation and plays a role in platelet procoagulant activity and subsequent thrombin and fibrin formation. The protein is associated with the Fc receptor gamma chain, and the GPVI-FcRgamma complex is associated with the Src kinase family Fyn and Lyn. The kit is intended for research use only.
