Human Platelet glycoprotein V (GP5) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of human Platelet glycoprotein V (GP5), also known by the synonyms Glycoprotein 5, CD42d, and GPV (UniProt P40197). The assay is validated for use with human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant human GP5. GP5 is a component of the GPIb-V-IX complex, which functions as the von Willebrand factor receptor and mediates vWF-dependent platelet adhesion to blood vessels in the arterial circulation, a critical initiating event in hemostasis.

The kit uses a colorimetric detection method with a reported detection range of 0.625–40 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.34 ng/mL. Reported intra-assay CV is 7.9% and inter-assay CV is 9.4%. Linearity has been evaluated across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. Recovery averages 101% (range 95–107%) in serum and 103% (range 97–109%) in plasma. The kit is supplied with a dismountable ELISA microplate (8×12 strips), lyophilized standard, sample and assay diluents, detection reagents A and B, wash buffer, substrate, stop solution, and plate sealer.
