Human Platelet factor 4 (PF4) ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of Human Platelet factor 4 (PF4) in human samples. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is supplied for research use only.

The kit offers a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.11ng/mL. Reproducibility is supported by an intra-assay CV of 4.7% and an inter-assay CV of 8.3%. Recovery in serum averages 95% (range 89-101) and in plasma averages 97% (range 91-103).

Suitable sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The kit specifically recognises natural and recombinant human Platelet factor 4. PF4 is a CXC chemokine released from platelet alpha granules during aggregation; it binds heparin more strongly than chondroitin-4-sulfate chains and is chemotactic for neutrophils and monocytes.
