Human Platelet-derived growth factor subunit A (PDGFA) ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of Human Platelet-derived growth factor subunit A (PDGFA) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a biotin-conjugated detection antibody and HRP-conjugated avidin in a double-antibody sandwich format, producing a colorimetric signal read at 450 nm using TMB substrate.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 31.2-2000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 12pg/mL, with reported intra-assay CV of 5.3% and inter-assay CV of 9.7%. Linearity has been evaluated across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Serum recovery shows an average of 103% (range 97-109%) and plasma recovery an average of 105% (range 99-111%).

The kit detects natural and recombinant human PDGFA (UniProt P04085), also referred to as PDGF-1, PDGF subunit A, PDGF1, Platelet-derived growth factor A chain and Platelet-derived growth factor alpha polypeptide. PDGFA functions as a growth factor and mitogen for cells of mesenchymal origin, with roles in embryonic development, cell proliferation, migration, survival, chemotaxis, wound healing, and normal lung alveolar septum, gastrointestinal tract, Leydig cell, oligodendrocyte and myelination development.
