Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit enables quantitative detection of human Platelet basic protein (PPBP) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. PPBP, also known as connective tissue-activating peptide III (CTAP-III), is a platelet-derived CXC chemokine implicated in platelet activation, inflammation, wound healing, and thrombosis, with research applications in cardiovascular disorders, inflammatory conditions, and cancer.

Performance specifications include a detection range of 15.6-1000pg/mL, sensitivity of 3.9pg/mL, intra-assay CV of 3.6%, and inter-assay CV of 6.9%. Spike-and-recovery linearity in serum spans 83-93% (1:2), 101-111% (1:4), 88-98% (1:8), and 100-110% (1:16); EDTA plasma shows 91-100%, 108-116%, 108-118%, and 98-107%; and heparin plasma shows 102-111%, 108-117%, 90-100%, and 98-107% across the same dilutions. Overall recovery is 94% (range 88-100%) in serum and 96% (range 90-102%) in plasma. Specificity is for natural and recombinant human Platelet basic protein.
