Human Platelet-activating factor acetylhydrolase 2, cytoplasmic (PAFAH2) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative detection of human platelet-activating factor acetylhydrolase 2, cytoplasmic (PAFAH2), also referred to as serine-dependent phospholipase A2 (SD-PLA2). The colorimetric assay is validated for human samples including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and specifically recognises both natural and recombinant human PAFAH2.

Manufacturer specifications report a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.156 ng/ml, with intra-assay CV of 5.1% and inter-assay CV of 8.2%. Linearity has been confirmed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 (N=5). Recovery averages 93% (range 87–99%) for serum and 95% (range 89–101%) for plasma.

PAFAH2 is a cytoplasmic, monomeric enzyme with marked selectivity for phospholipids carrying short acyl chains at the sn-2 position, and is relevant to research in lipid metabolism and signal transduction. The kit is intended for research use only.
