Human Plasma protease C1 inhibitor (SERPING1) ELISA Kit

The assay targets the serine protease C1 inhibitor encoded by the SERPING1 gene, a protein that regulates the complement system and inflammatory response through formation of a proteolytically inactive stoichiometric complex with the C1r or C1s proteases, and that has been implicated in hereditary angioedema and other inflammatory disorders.

The kit is reactive with human samples and validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Specificity covers both natural and recombinant human Plasma protease C1 inhibitor. Performance figures include a detection range of 0.312-20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.11 ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 5.6% and inter-assay CV of 7.9%. Spike-and-recovery testing returned average values of 88% (82-94%) for serum and 90% (84-96%) for plasma. Linearity was evaluated across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
