Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative detection of human Plasma membrane calcium-transporting ATPase 2 (ATP2B2), also referred to as PMCA2, Plasma membrane calcium ATPase isoform 2, and Plasma membrane calcium pump isoform 2. The assay is reactive with human samples and is intended for research use only.

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit offers a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.072ng/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 6.0% and an inter-assay CV of 7.3%. Linearity has been established for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, while recovery averages 95% (range 89-101%) for serum and 97% (range 91-103%) for plasma. Specificity covers natural and recombinant human ATP2B2 (UniProt Q01814).

ATP2B2 is a magnesium-dependent P-type ATPase that catalyses the hydrolysis of ATP coupled with the transport of calcium out of the cell, and its dysregulation has been associated with cardiovascular disorders, neurological conditions and muscle disorders.
