Human PLAP/Placental alkaline phosphatase ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the accurate measurement of PLAP (Placental Alkaline Phosphatase) levels in human samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit employs a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection, offering a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a measuring range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL.

PLAP is an enzyme found in the placenta and is commonly used as a marker for certain types of cancer, including testicular cancer. The kit is intended for research applications, supporting studies of disease development and progression in cell biology. Reactivity is limited to human samples, and the kit is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Validation data show good linearity across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. Linearity ranges are: serum (n=5) 85-104% (1:2), 92-97% (1:4), 89-105% (1:8); EDTA plasma (n=5) 92-97% (1:2), 90-101% (1:4), 83-100% (1:8); and heparin plasma (n=5) 83-96% (1:2), 83-94% (1:4), 84-100% (1:8). Recovery averages are 95% for serum (range 91-102%), 93% for EDTA plasma (range 85-101%), and 99% for heparin plasma (range 90-104%). The assay procedure involves reagent equilibration, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm.
