Human Placental protein 13-like (LGALS14) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed to quantitatively detect human Placental protein 13-like (LGALS14), also referred to by the synonyms Charcot-Leyden crystal protein 2, Galectin-14, CLC2, Gal-14, and PPL13. The target protein is predominantly expressed in the placenta, belongs to the galectin (galaptin/S-lectin) family, and is involved in pregnancy-related processes as well as fetal growth and development. The kit is intended for research use only.

Validated for use with human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, the assay offers a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.21ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is reported at 5.5% and inter-assay CV at 7.9%. Linearity has been demonstrated across serum (104-115% to 100-108%), EDTA plasma (85-97% to 110-119%) and heparin plasma (84-93% to 81-93%) at dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. Recovery ranges from 91-103% for serum and 93-105% for plasma. The target protein binds beta-galactoside and lactose and acts as a strong inducer of T-cell apoptosis, and abnormal levels of LGALS14 have been associated with certain pregnancy complications.
