Human PKD2/Polycystin 2 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie provides quantitative detection of human PKD2 (Polycystin-2) using a double-antibody format. The assay is colorimetric, with a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a measurable range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. It is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and the kit is stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

The procedure involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, loading standards, samples and blanks onto the pre-coated plate, and incubating at 37°C for 90 minutes. A biotin-labelled detection antibody is then added for a 60-minute incubation at 37°C, followed by HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) for 30 minutes at 37°C. TMB substrate is incubated in the dark for 10–20 minutes, stop solution is added, and absorbance is read at 450 nm.

Reported linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions spanned 85–103% for serum, 82–101% for EDTA plasma and 81–100% for heparin plasma. Recovery was 89–105% (average 98%) for serum, 86–100% (average 94%) for EDTA plasma, and 91–101% (average 96%) for heparin plasma. The kit is intended for cell biology research, including work on polycystic kidney disease.
