Description

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is intended for the quantitative measurement of human Pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide (ADCYAP1), also referred to as PACAP, in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human Pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide.

Reported performance includes a detection range of 7.8-500pg/mL and a sensitivity of 2.1pg/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 5.1% and an inter-assay CV of 9.2%. Recovery testing showed 103% (range 97-109%) in serum and 105% (range 99-111%) in plasma. Linearity has been demonstrated across serial dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. The kit is intended for research use only.

ADCYAP1 is a secreted neuropeptide involved in neurotransmission, metabolism and immune responses. Its dysregulation has been linked to neurological diseases, gastrointestinal issues and inflammatory conditions, making it a relevant biomarker for research into these areas.
