The Assay Genie Human PIGZ ELISA Kit is intended for research use only, supporting studies of phosphatidylinositol glycan anchor biosynthesis class Z, a mannosyltransferase involved in building glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) anchors that tether many cell-surface proteins to the plasma membrane. Quantifying PIGZ levels is useful in investigations of GPI-anchor biosynthesis, host-pathogen interactions involving GPI-related virulence factors, and glycosylation pathway research. The microplate format accommodates multiple samples and standards per run, with a biotin-streptavidin-HRP detection workflow and TMB substrate producing a measurable color change proportional to PIGZ concentration. Reagents should be equilibrated to room temperature before use, and reconstituted components aliquoted and stored at -20 degrees C or below to limit freeze-thaw degradation.
