The Assay Genie Phosphotyrosine VEGFR2 PharmaGenie ELISA Kit provides a quantitative immunoassay platform for measuring tyrosine-phosphorylated VEGFR2 (KDR/Flk-1) directly in cell lysates and tissue lysates. As the principal signaling receptor for VEGF-A, VEGFR2 phosphorylation at specific tyrosine residues drives downstream angiogenic signaling, making the kit applicable to oncology, vascular biology, and ophthalmic research focused on VEGF pathway activity.

Each microplate is configured for 96 assays and is intended for research use only. The capture antibody is human-specific, supporting studies of receptor activation in human cell lines and primary tissue with no significant cross-reactivity toward unrelated receptor tyrosine kinases. Typical applications include monitoring VEGF-A-induced VEGFR2 phosphorylation time courses, screening small-molecule kinase inhibitors that block receptor activation, and profiling basal versus stimulated phospho-VEGFR2 levels across treated versus untreated samples.

Working with lysate samples prepared in standard RIPA or NP-40 buffers containing protease and phosphatase inhibitors is recommended to preserve phosphorylation status. Reconstituted reagents should be stored refrigerated and protected from light, while lysates should be kept frozen at -80 degrees C with limited freeze-thaw cycles to maintain phosphotyrosine integrity prior to the assay.
