Phosphotyrosine BMX (also known as Etk) is a member of the Tec family of non-receptor tyrosine kinases, and this phosphorylation assay from Assay Genie quantifies activated, tyrosine-phosphorylated BMX directly in human cell and tissue lysates. The full-length BMX protein is approximately 78 kDa, and the antibodies in this kit target the phosphotyrosine epitope of the activated kinase. The microplate format includes all reagents for 96 reactions using a small sample volume per well, and the kit is intended for research use only in studies of BMX-mediated signaling through PI3K-AKT, STAT, and integrin pathways, which are studied in angiogenesis, prostate cancer, and glioblastoma contexts, as well as downstream events of growth factor, cytokine, and adhesion receptor signaling.
