The ZAP70 (Zeta-chain-associated protein kinase 70) protein is a Syk-family tyrosine kinase essential for T-cell receptor (TCR) signal transduction. Phosphorylation at the Y493 tyrosine residue marks catalytic activation following TCR engagement. This kit from Assay Genie uses a phosphorylation-site-specific colorimetric microplate ELISA that distinguishes activated ZAP70 from the resting pool in human samples, and is applied in studies of T-cell activation, thymic selection, and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), where ZAP70 expression status mirrors disease prognosis. All reagents are supplied in a single kit box with pre-coated wells, for in vitro research applications only.
