Human Phospho-TrkB (Y816) and Total TrkB PharmaGenie ELISA Kit (SBRS2006)

Built for neuroscience and signal transduction research, this phosphorylation ELISA from Assay Genie quantifies TrkB receptor activation by simultaneously detecting phosphorylated TrkB at tyrosine 816 and total TrkB protein in the same sample. Tyrosine 816 is the major docking site for phospholipase C-gamma 1 (PLCγ1), making this phospho-specific readout a direct measure of the PLCγ1 signaling arm downstream of BDNF and NT-4/5 neurotrophin binding.

The kit is validated for human cell lysates and tissue lysates and is supplied in a 96-assay format with all required capture and detection reagents. Normalizing the phospho-Y816 signal against the total TrkB readout in parallel wells corrects for differences in receptor expression between samples, supporting studies of neurotrophin signaling, neuronal survival pathways, synaptic plasticity, and screening campaigns for TrkB modulators in academic and pharmaceutical laboratories.
