This Phospho-LKB1 Ser428 immunoassay from Assay Genie quantitatively detects the tumor suppressor kinase STK11 (LKB1) only when phosphorylated at the Ser428 regulatory site, a modification that promotes cytoplasmic relocalization and downstream AMPK activation. The kit serves laboratories investigating cAMP/PKA signaling, AMPK pathway biology, energy homeostasis, and the role of LKB1 loss in Peutz-Jeghers syndrome, non-small cell lung cancer, and cervical carcinoma. Researchers commonly apply it to lysates from cells treated with agents such as AICAR, metformin, 2-deoxyglucose, or forskolin to follow pathway activation over time.
