A phosphorylation ELISA from Assay Genie is used to quantify the activated form of the human insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF-1R), specifically detecting the receptor when it is phosphorylated at tyrosine residues 1165 and 1166 within the kinase activation loop. This site-specific measurement supports research into growth factor signaling, PI3K/AKT and RAS/MAPK pathway activity, and receptor autophosphorylation dynamics in cell lysate and tissue lysate samples.

Supplied as a 96 assays microplate kit with a colorimetric readout, the assay integrates into workflows using standard absorbance plate readers. To preserve the phosphorylation epitope during sample preparation, lysates should be prepared with phosphatase inhibitor cocktails and handled cold. Reagents are intended for research use only and should be refrigerated upon receipt. The format supports studies of IGF-1R activity in cancer biology, metabolic disease, and endocrinology, where dysregulated growth factor signaling is a focus.
