Human Phospho-eIF-4E (S209) PharmaGenie ELISA Kit (SBRS1801)

The Phospho-eIF-4E (S209) ELISA from Assay Genie's PharmaGenie range is built to quantify serine 209 phosphorylation of eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E in human cell and tissue lysates. Phosphorylation at S209 is catalysed by MNK1/MNK2 kinases downstream of ERK and p38 MAPK signalling and serves as a quantitative read-out of cap-dependent translation initiation, a process frequently examined in oncology, immunology and signal transduction research programmes.

Working on a matched antibody pair format with a colorimetric endpoint, the kit uses phospho-specific capture antibodies that selectively recognise the modified S209 epitope without significant cross-reactivity with unphosphorylated eIF-4E. Each microplate is supplied with calibrated recombinant standards, detection antibody, TMB substrate and assay buffers. Recommended sample volume is 100 uL of clarified lysate per well, with total protein loading normalised before dilution into sample buffer.

Components are shipped on cold packs and should be stored at -20 degrees C after opening; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles by aliquoting working stocks into single-use vials. Intended for research use only.
