The Human Phospho-eIF-2A (S52) and Total eIF-2A PharmaGenie ELISA Kit from Assay Genie enables simultaneous quantitative measurement of phosphorylated eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2 alpha at serine 52 alongside total eIF-2A protein levels in cell lysates and tissue lysates. Phosphorylation of eIF-2A at Ser52 is a hallmark of the integrated stress response and is driven by stress-responsive kinases such as PERK, GCN2, PKR, and HRI under conditions including endoplasmic reticulum stress, amino acid deprivation, viral infection, and oxidative challenge.

This dual-target format supports normalization workflows in translational control research, allowing direct comparison of phosphorylated signal to total antigen within the same sample.
