The Assay Genie phospho-Caveolin-1 (Tyr14) ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of tyrosine-phosphorylated caveolin-1 in cell and tissue lysates, with a working assay range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose of approximately 0.08 ng/mL. This post-translational modification, driven by Src family kinases, regulates caveolae organization, focal adhesion turnover, and mechanotransductive signaling cascades in adherent cells.

Researchers apply this lysate-compatible immunoassay to interrogate caveolin-1 activation status in vascular biology, integrin signaling studies, and tumor progression models, where Y14 phosphorylation correlates with cytoskeletal remodeling, cell migration, and invasive behavior across human, mouse, and rat sample origins. The microplate-based protocol supports 96 assays per kit, with reagents supplied for research use only. For optimal antibody binding, store kit components refrigerated at 4 degrees C and protect from light. Each run produces a chromogenic readout measured on a standard microplate reader at 450 nm, allowing direct comparison of phospho-Caveolin-1 levels across treated and untreated samples using 100 microliters of sample per well.
