Human Phosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate 3-phosphatase and dual-specificity protein phosphatase PTEN (PTEN) ELISA Kit

An accurate colorimetric sandwich ELISA developed by Assay Genie for the detection of human Phosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate 3-phosphatase and dual-specificity protein phosphatase PTEN (also known as phosphatase and tensin homolog, MMAC1, or TEP1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit recognises natural and recombinant human PTEN and is intended for research use only.

Across a standard curve of 0.156-10ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.1ng/ml, the assay shows intra-assay precision of 5.2% and inter-assay precision of 7.3%. Linearity has been validated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16, with recovery averaging 98% (range 92-104%) for serum and 100% (range 94-106%) for plasma.

PTEN is a tumor suppressor that negatively regulates the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway, and its dysregulation has been implicated in breast, prostate, and brain cancers. Researchers can use this kit to investigate PTEN levels relevant to cancer biology, drug discovery, and personalised medicine (UniProt P60484).
