This colorimetric ELISA kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of human PHKG2, the catalytic gamma-2 subunit of phosphorylase kinase expressed predominantly in liver tissue. The assay supports research into glycogen metabolism and glycogen storage disease type IXc (GSD IXc), an autosomal recessive condition caused by loss-of-function mutations in PHKG2 that disrupt the phosphorylase kinase complex and its activation of glycogen phosphorylase.
