Human Phenylalanine Hydroxylase (PAH) ELISA Kit

Phenylalanine hydroxylase (PAH) is the hepatic enzyme that catalyzes hydroxylation of L-phenylalanine to L-tyrosine using tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4) as a cofactor. The Assay Genie PAH ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of this enzyme in human samples. Because loss-of-function mutations in the PAH gene cause phenylketonuria (PKU) and related hyperphenylalaninemia disorders, the kit supports research into inborn errors of metabolism, hepatic enzyme regulation, and BH4 cofactor biology.

The kit accepts tissue homogenates and cell lysates, allowing direct use of liver biopsy specimens and hepatocyte culture models where PAH is most abundant. Readout uses a standard plate reader with absorbance measurement. Unopened reagents should be stored refrigerated at 4°C; working standards and samples should be aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw cycles. For research use only; not intended for diagnostic procedures.
