The dynamic range of comparable assays spans roughly 6 pg/mL to 1500 pg/mL, with sensitivity as low as 6 pg/mL, allowing detection of low-abundance neutrophil-derived protein in circulation. PGLYRP1 is expressed 50–100 times higher in bone marrow than in peripheral neutrophils and is also found in eosinophils, salivary glands, mammary epithelium, and gastrointestinal tissue, where it engages TREM-1 and HSP70 to modulate antibacterial and inflammatory responses.

The biotin–streptavidin-HRP sandwich format uses a capture antibody pre-bound to the well surface; the recombinant standard supplied with each Assay Genie kit should be reconstituted, aliquoted, and frozen at -20 °C to limit freeze-thaw cycles, while the working detection antibody is prepared by dilution into assay diluent immediately before use.
