Human PGD ELISA Kit (HUFI08645)

This quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie enables researchers to measure human 6-phosphogluconate dehydrogenase (PGD) protein levels in research samples. PGD catalyzes the NADP+-dependent oxidative decarboxylation of 6-phosphogluconate to ribulose-5-phosphate, the third step of the oxidative pentose phosphate pathway. Because this reaction generates NADPH, PGD supports fatty acid biosynthesis, glutathione recycling, and management of reactive oxygen species, making it a target of interest in studies of cancer metabolism, redox biology, and metabolic disorders.

The kit is supplied as a complete reagent set configured for 96 Assays and is intended for research use only. Typical workflows apply the assay to human cell lines, tissue homogenates, and other biological specimens relevant to tumor biology and pentose phosphate pathway research.
