PGCP (Plasma Glutamate Carboxypeptidase), also called carboxypeptidase Q, is a zinc-dependent metallopeptidase that removes hydrophobic C-terminal residues from peptide and protein substrates. Distributed by Assay Genie, this assay supports quantitative studies in cardiovascular, metabolic, and inflammation-related research, where altered PGCP expression has been associated with lipid metabolism and vascular biology. The kit provides a working detection range of 0.312-20 ng/mL with a minimum detectable dose of 0.156 ng/mL, and reagents have been validated against human recombinant PGCP.
