The PEX5L protein (Peroxisomal Biogenesis Factor 5-Like) acts as a cytosolic receptor for peroxisomal targeting signals, directing newly synthesized proteins into the peroxisomal matrix. This quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie measures endogenous PEX5L concentrations in human-derived specimens, supporting studies of peroxisomal biogenesis disorders, metabolic dysfunction, and tissue-specific gene expression.
