Human PEX2/Peroxisomal Biogenesis Factor 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of human PEX2 (Peroxisomal Biogenesis Factor 2) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method in a double-antibody sandwich format and is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. PEX2 is a peroxisomal membrane protein also known by synonyms including PAF-1, PAF1, PMP3, PMP35, PXMP3, RNF72, RING finger protein 72, Peroxisome assembly factor 1, Peroxisomal membrane protein 3, 35 kDa peroxisomal membrane protein, and Peroxin-2 (Uniprot P28328), and is relevant to research in the metabolism area.

Sensitivity is 0.188 ng/mL with a measuring range of 0.313-20 ng/mL. Linearity in serum ranges from 86-98% at 1:2, 85-101% at 1:4, and 95-101% at 1:8 dilution, with EDTA plasma at 83-98%, 83-99%, and 83-98%, and heparin plasma at 81-99%, 80-100%, and 82-100% respectively. Recovery ranges are 88-103% (average 95%) in serum, 88-105% (average 97%) in EDTA plasma, and 86-96% (average 93%) in heparin plasma.

The procedure involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, then incubating standards and samples on the pre-coated plate at 37°C for 90 minutes to allow antigen binding. A biotin-labeled detection antibody is added with a 60-minute incubation at 37°C, followed by HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) for 30 minutes. TMB substrate is then added and incubated in the dark for 10-20 minutes. The reaction is stopped and absorbance is measured immediately at 450 nm.
