Human Peroxiredoxin-4 (PRDX4) ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of human Peroxiredoxin-4 (PRDX4), this Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is intended for research applications requiring accurate detection of the target protein. Specificity is directed against natural and recombinant human Peroxiredoxin-4.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 33pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is reported at 4.7% and inter-assay CV at 6.9%. Linearity has been assessed in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16, with recoveries of 80% (range 80-86%) for serum and 82% (range 80-88%) for plasma.

PRDX4 is an antioxidant enzyme of the peroxiredoxin family, probably involved in redox regulation of the cell and in modulating NF-kappa-B activation through I-kappa-B-alpha phosphorylation. The protein is localised to the cytoplasm and is also secreted, forming homodimers or heterodimers with PRDX1 upon oxidation.
