Human Peroxiredoxin-2 (PRDX2) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of human Peroxiredoxin-2 (PRDX2). The kit is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, recognising both natural and recombinant human PRDX2, and is intended for research use in studies of oxidative stress and redox biology.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.074 ng/mL, with reported intra-assay CV of 6.7% and inter-assay CV of 9.9%. Sample recovery averaged 99% (range 93-105%) for serum and 101% (range 95-107%) for plasma. Peroxiredoxin-2 is a key antioxidant enzyme involved in redox regulation of the cell, reducing peroxides through the thioredoxin system and helping to eliminate peroxides generated during metabolism. Dysregulation of PRDX2 has been implicated in diseases including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and cardiovascular conditions.
