Human Peroxiredoxin-1 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative measurement of human Peroxiredoxin-1 (PRDX1) in serum, plasma, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with a biotinylated detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm. Reported performance includes a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL, a detection range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL, intra-assay CV <8% and inter-assay CV <10%.

Spike-and-recovery averages are 91% for serum (n=5, range 87–102%), 96% for EDTA plasma (n=5, range 89–104%) and 96% for UFH plasma (n=5, range 88–101%). Linearity across serial dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8) was demonstrated across the same matrices, with measured-to-expected percentages ranging from 81% to 105%.

The kit targets human PRDX1 (UniProt Q06830), a peroxiredoxin-family antioxidant enzyme that reduces hydrogen peroxide and alkyl hydroperoxides and is involved in redox regulation of the cell. The product is intended for research use only.
