Human Peripheral myelin protein 22 (PMP22) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Sandwich ELISA Kit for the quantitative detection of human Peripheral myelin protein 22 (PMP22), also referenced by the synonyms Growth arrest-specific protein 3, GAS-3, PMP-22 and GAS3. The assay is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and shows reactivity with human samples.

The kit has a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/ml. Reported intra-assay CV is 5.2% and inter-assay CV is 8.3%. Linearity has been demonstrated across dilution series (1:2, 1:4, 1:8, 1:16) for serum (104-115%, 90-98%, 98-107%, 100-110%), EDTA plasma (102-114%, 101-113%, 107-117%, 105-114%) and heparin plasma (96-108%, 105-115%, 97-107%, 99-111%). Recovery averages 100% (range 94-106%) for serum and 102% (range 96-108%) for plasma. The kit recognises both natural and recombinant human PMP22 (UniProt Q01453), a multi-pass cell membrane protein implicated in growth regulation and in myelinization within the peripheral nervous system. Dysregulation of PMP22 has been linked to neuropathies such as Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease and hereditary neuropathy with liability to pressure palsies. For research use only.
