Human Peripheral benzodiazepine receptor-related protein (TSPO) ELISA Kit

The target, Translocator protein (TSPO), is also referenced by synonyms such as mitochondrial benzodiazepine receptor, PKBS, peripheral-type benzodiazepine receptor, PBR, BZRP and MBR, and is catalogued under UniProt ID P30536. The assay is reactive with human samples including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and detects the natural and recombinant human protein with a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.156ng/mL.

As a multi-pass mitochondrial membrane protein, TSPO has been implicated in cholesterol transport across mitochondrial membranes, the transport of porphyrins and heme, and the manifestation of peripheral-type benzodiazepine recognition sites.
