Human Perilipin-2 (PLIN2) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit uses a colorimetric detection method and is intended for the accurate measurement of human Perilipin-2 (PLIN2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. Perilipin-2, also known as Adipophilin, Adipose differentiation-related protein (ADRP) and ADFP, is a member of the perilipin family that coats intracellular lipid storage droplets and has been implicated in the development and maintenance of adipose tissue. The kit is relevant to research in cardiovascular biology, lipid metabolism, obesity, fatty liver disease and related metabolic disorders.

Specificity is reported for natural and recombinant human Perilipin-2, which is a peripheral membrane protein annotated at UniProt Q99541. Reported performance includes a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.053 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.2% and an inter-assay CV of 9.8%. Dilutional linearity has been assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma, and spike-recovery is reported with an average of 100% (range 94–106%) in serum and 102% (range 96–108%) in plasma.
