Perforin-1 is a pore-forming cytolytic protein, also known by the synonyms Cytolysin, Lymphocyte pore-forming protein, PFP, and P1. It plays a key role in secretory granule-dependent cell death mediated by cytotoxic T lymphocytes and natural killer cells, supporting studies of immune surveillance, transplant rejection, autoimmune disease, and cancer immunotherapy. Additional compatible sample matrices include tissue homogenates and other biological fluids, and the assay is specific for natural and recombinant human Perforin-1.
