Human Peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase NIMA-interacting 1 (PIN1) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a Sandwich ELISA kit for the measurement of human Peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase NIMA-interacting 1 (PIN1). The kit accepts human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and is specific for natural and recombinant forms of the target, which is also known as Peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase Pin1, Rotamase Pin1 or PPIase Pin1.

Manufacturer-quoted performance figures include a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL, a sensitivity of 34pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.3% and an inter-assay CV of 8.6%. Linearity testing (N=5 per matrix) yielded values from 89-119% for serum, 91-113% for EDTA plasma and 82-118% for heparin plasma across dilution factors of 1:2 to 1:16. Mean recovery is 104% from serum (range 98-110%) and 106% from plasma (range 100-112%).

PIN1 is a peptidyl-prolyl cis/trans isomerase (PPIase) that catalyses isomerization of phosphorylated Ser/Thr-Pro motifs, acting as a molecular switch in processes such as cell cycle progression and DNA damage response. Abnormal PIN1 expression has been linked to cancer and Alzheimer's disease.
