Human Peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase FKBP5 (FKBP5) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the precise quantitative measurement of human peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase FKBP5. The assay is intended for use with human samples, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, and it recognises both natural and recombinant human FKBP5.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.1 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 6.1% and inter-assay CV is 8.9%. Linearity has been assessed in serum (N=5), EDTA plasma (N=5) and heparin plasma (N=5) across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Recovery is 103% (range 97–109%) for serum and 105% (range 99–111%) for plasma.

FKBP5 is an immunophilin protein with PPIase and co-chaperone activities that contributes to the intracellular trafficking of heterooligomeric steroid hormone receptor complexes through interaction with heat-shock protein 90 (HSP90). Dysregulation of FKBP5 has been implicated in cancer, autoimmune disorders and neurologic conditions. The associated UniProt entry is Q13451 and the protein has a molecular weight of 51 kDa.
