Human Peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase B (PPIB) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative detection of human Peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase B (PPIB), a peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase that accelerates protein folding by catalysing the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides. Also referred to as CYP-S1, Cyclophilin B, Rotamase B, S-cyclophilin, SCYLP, PPIase B and CYPB, the target is localised to the endoplasmic reticulum lumen and melanosome.

The assay is reactive with human samples and has been validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant human PPIB (UniProt P23284). Reported performance includes a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL, a sensitivity of 29.3 pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.4% and an inter-assay CV of 10.2%. Spike-and-recovery values are 97% (range 91-103%) for serum and 99% (range 93-105%) for plasma. The kit is supplied for research use only and falls within the Epigenetics research area.
