Human Peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase A (PPIA) ELISA Kit

A sandwich-format ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase A (PPIA), also known as cyclophilin A, Cyclosporin A-binding protein, Rotamase A, PPIase A or CYPA. The assay is intended for research use only and shows specificity for natural and recombinant human PPIA in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.057 ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 4.3% and an inter-assay CV of 7.5%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum (92–101%, 88–98%, 116–126%, 100–111%), EDTA plasma (100–109%, 108–117%, 98–109%, 90–102%) and heparin plasma (99–109%, 106–115%, 84–94%, 105–114%) at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 respectively. Recovery averages 96% (range 90–102%) for serum and 98% (range 92–104%) for plasma. PPIA is a peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase that accelerates protein folding by catalysing the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides and has been implicated as a biomarker in conditions including cancer, HIV/AIDS and autoimmune disorders.
