Human Pepsinogen C/PGC ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of Pepsinogen C (PGC) in human biological samples. The assay reacts with human specimens and accepts a broad range of sample types including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Detection is colorimetric, with a reported sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a working range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL. The kit should be stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months. Published linearity at the 1:2 dilution is 87–98% for serum, 83–99% for EDTA plasma, and 85–100% for heparin plasma, with average recovery values of 97% (serum), 99% (EDTA plasma), and 96% (heparin plasma).

The double-antibody sandwich procedure follows six steps: reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody binding, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after stop solution addition. Pepsinogen C is an enzyme involved in protein digestion in the stomach, and abnormal circulating levels have been linked with various gastrointestinal disorders, making it a useful biomarker for related research.
