Human PEPCK2/PEPCK-M ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human PEPCK2 (also referred to as PEPCK-M, PCK2, or phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase [GTP], mitochondrial). It is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and is positioned for metabolism research, where PEPCK2 is studied for its role in gluconeogenesis and glyceroneogenesis and its reported links to conditions such as diabetes and obesity.

The assay uses a colorimetric, double-antibody sandwich format, with detection by HRP-Streptavidin and TMB substrate, read at 450 nm. Reported linearity across 1:2 to 1:8 dilutions spans 99-103% to 91-100% for serum, 84-98% for EDTA plasma, and 81-99% to 84-98% for heparin plasma (n = 5 each). Reported recovery averages are 96% for serum (range 86-105%), 96% for EDTA plasma (range 86-102%), and 92% for heparin plasma (range 86-98%).

Reagents should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months (with selected components also suitable at -20°C as indicated), protected from direct light where noted. The procedure follows a standard sandwich ELISA workflow: reagent equilibration, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, and TMB colour development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, followed by stop solution and absorbance measurement.
