Human Pentraxin-related protein PTX3 (PTX3) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the accurate and sensitive detection of human Pentraxin-related protein PTX3 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric readout, recognises natural and recombinant human PTX3, is reactive with human samples and is supplied for research use only.

Performance figures from the manufacturer: detection range 0.156-10 ng/mL, sensitivity 0.056 ng/mL, intra-assay CV 5.2% and inter-assay CV 9.3%. Linearity was assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions. Mean recovery is 107% (range 101-113%) for serum and 109% (range 103-115%) for plasma. PTX3 is a secreted, disulfide-linked homooctamer that binds C1q and is implicated in innate resistance to pathogens, inflammatory reactions and clearance of self-components, with established relevance to cardiovascular research.
