Human Pentraxin 2/SAP ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of human Pentraxin 2, also known as serum amyloid P component (SAP), a protein associated with the acute phase response, inflammation, amyloidosis and rheumatoid arthritis. The kit targets the human protein (UniProt P02743) and is intended for cell biology research.

Employing a sandwich ELISA format with a double-antibody detection approach, the assay delivers a sensitivity of 3.75 ng/mL across a working range of 6.25–400 ng/mL. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit is stored at 2–8 °C for up to 12 months. The procedure involves reagent equilibration, a 90-minute primary incubation at 37 °C, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin incubation for 30 minutes, TMB substrate colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and a stop reaction with absorbance measured at 450 nm.
