Human Pendrin/SLC26A4 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human SLC26A4 (pendrin) concentrations in serum, plasma, and other biological fluids. The immunoassay uses a double-antibody format with colorimetric detection.

Pendrin, also known as SLC26A4, is a sodium-independent chloride and iodide transporter involved in ion transport and fluid balance in tissues including the inner ear and kidneys. Dysregulation of this protein has been linked to Pendred syndrome and familial non-syndromic hearing loss, supporting its use as a biomarker for studying these disorders.

The assay reports a sensitivity of 0.469 ng/ml and a working range of 0.781-50 ng/ml. Spike-and-recovery performance was assessed in serum, EDTA plasma, and UFH plasma matrices, with intra-assay CV<8% and inter-assay CV<10%. The kit is intended for research use only and is stored at 4°C for 6 months.
