Description

A high-quality Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie, designed for the precise measurement of human PDXP (Pyridoxal phosphate phosphatase) levels in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. PDXP is an essential enzyme involved in the metabolism of vitamin B6, playing a crucial role in maintaining cellular functions. Dysregulation of PDXP activity has been linked to neurological disorders and cardiovascular conditions, highlighting its significance as a biomarker for disease research and therapeutic development. The kit supports research in cell biology and serves as a reliable tool for various research applications.

The assay uses a colorimetric Sandwich ELISA with a double antibody format. Sensitivity is 0.375 ng/mL and the detection range is 0.625-40 ng/mL. The procedure involves six main steps: equilibrating reagents and the TMB substrate to room temperature; a primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes; detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes; HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding at 37°C for 30 minutes; color development with TMB substrate in the dark for 10–20 minutes; and a stop reaction with absorbance read at 450 nm. Sample preparation protocols are provided for serum, plasma, tissue homogenate, cell culture supernatant, and cell lysates. Kits should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Validation data show linearity across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma, along with recovery ranges and averages for the same sample types. Synonyms for the target include PDXP, Pyridoxal phosphate phosphatase, PLP phosphatase, Chronophin, CIN, PLP, and PLPP.
