Human PDK1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human PDK1 (3-Phosphoinositide Dependent Protein Kinase 1) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The double-antibody sandwich format uses colorimetric detection and is supplied for research use only.

Performance characteristics reported for the assay include a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/ml, a working range of 0.313–20 ng/ml, an intra-assay CV of <8% and an inter-assay CV of <10%. Spike-and-recovery testing gave an average recovery of 100% in serum (range 94–102%), 93% in EDTA plasma (range 88–99%) and 96% in UFH plasma (range 89–100%). Linearity was demonstrated on serial dilutions of spiked samples across serum, EDTA plasma and UFH plasma matrices. Reagents are stored at 4°C for up to six months.

PDK1 is a serine/threonine kinase that acts as a master regulator within the AGC family of protein kinases, phosphorylating downstream targets that include PKB/AKT, and it is involved in cell growth, survival and metabolism. Dysregulation of PDK1 has been linked to diseases such as cancer, diabetes and neurological disorders.
