Assay Genie's PCSK7 ELISA Kit supports quantitative measurement of Proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 7, a calcium-dependent serine endoprotease and type I transmembrane member of the subtilisin-like proprotein convertase family. PCSK7 (also called PC7 or LPC) localizes primarily to the Golgi compartment, where it cleaves precursor polypeptides at paired basic residues and contributes to maturation of substrates involved in lipid metabolism, inflammation, and hepatic signaling.
